हरिद्वार ग्रामीण विधानसभा क्षेत्र की विधायक अनुपमा रावत ने टिहरी विस्थापित क्षेत्र में रह रहे लोगों को भूमिधरी का अधिकार दिए जाने की मांग को लेकर जिला कलेक्ट्रेट पहुंचकर धरना दिया और डीएम मयूर दीक्षित को ज्ञापन सौंपा। टिहरी विस्थापित क्षेत्र के सैकड़ों लोग सोमवार को विधायक अनुपमा रावत की अगुवाई में कलेक्ट्रेट पहुंचे और भूमिधरी अधिकार दिए जाने की मांग को लेकर धरना दिया। इस दौरान एडीएम और एसडीएम ने लोगों को समझाने का प्रयास किया। लेकिन ग्रामीण मांग पूरी किए जाने की जिद पर अड़े रहे। इसके बाद डीएम मयूर दीक्षित ने धरना स्थल पर पहुंचकर ग्रामीणों को समझाकर आश्वासन दिया और उनसे ज्ञापन लिया। विधायक अनुपमा रावत ने कहा कि विस्थापन के 45 साल बाद भी हजारों टिहरी विस्थापित भूमिधरी अधिकार के लिए संघर्ष कर रहे हैं। 16 दिसम्बर 2016 को मंत्रिमंडल ने टिहरी विस्थापितों को भूमिधरी का अधिकार देने का फैसला किया था। जिसे अब तक भी लागू नहीं किया गया है। सदन में भूमिधरी का अधिकार दिए जाने की मांग उठायी गयी। लेकिन अधिकारियों की ओर से सिर्फ मीटिंग और आश्वासन देकर मामले को घुमाया जा रहा है।
