हिंदी भाषा के अधिकाधिक उपयोग (उत्तरोत्तर विकास) को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से एम्स ऋषिकेश में हिंदी कार्यशाला आयोजित की गयी। इस अवसर पर कहा गया कि राजकीय कार्यों में हिंदी के अधिकाधिक उपयोग को प्राथमिकता देने की जरूरत है।
राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रगामी प्रयोगों को बढ़ावा दिए जाने हेतु एम्स ऋषिकेश द्वारा विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण पहलें की जा रही हैं। संस्थान द्वारा प्रशासनिक स्तर पर होने वाले कार्यों और दैनिक गतिविधियों में मुख्य भाषा के रूप में हिंदी को अपनाने के लिए जोर दिया जा रहा है। इसी परिपेक्ष्य में संस्थान के अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों के लिए 3 दिवसीय हिंदी कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। समापन अवसर पर कार्यशाला को संबोधित करते हुए संस्थान की कार्यकारी निदेशक प्रो. मीनू सिंह ने हिंदी को सबसे सरल और आम बोलचाल की भाषा बताते हुए इसके अधिकाधिक उपयोग हेतु प्रतिभागियों को प्रोत्साहित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रशासनिक कार्यों में हिंदी को दैनिक स्तर पर अपनाने की आवश्यकता है। उप-निदेशक (प्रशासन) ले. कर्नल गोपाल मेहरा ने प्रतिभागियों का मार्गदर्शन करते हुए हिंदी को देश की प्रमुख व प्राचीन भाषा बताया। उन्होंने राजभाषा नियम तथा अधिनियम संबंधी कई महत्वपूर्ण जानकारियाँ भी दीं।
प्रभारी अधिकारी (राजभाषा) व वरिष्ठ प्रशासनिक अधिकारी डाॅ. मुकेश पाल ने भी कार्यशाला को संबोधित किया। बताया कि संस्थान के सभी विभागों में हिंदी अपनाने और प्रशासिनक कार्यों को हिंदी में करने को कहा गया है। इस अवसर पर हिंदी में प्रकाशित पुस्तक प्रदर्शनी का भी आयोजन किया गया। इस दौरान उप चिकित्सा अधीक्षक डाॅ. रवि कुमार, संस्थान के वरिष्ठ लाइब्रेरियन और सूचना अधिकारी डाॅ. संदीप कुमार सिंह, मुख्य नर्सिंग अधिकारी अनिता रानी कंसल, वरिष्ठ अनुवाद अधिकारी शशि यादव, नीरज कुमार वर्मा, सुश्री स्वाति कैंतुरा, राजशेखर सहित बड़ी संख्या में विभिन्न विभागों के कार्मिक मौजूद रहे।
