गुरूकुल विवि के गौरव चौधरी ने यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स में कुश्ती में जीता सिल्वर मेडल
हरिद्वार, 28 नवम्बर। गुरूकुल कांगड़ी विवि के छात्र गौरव चौधरी ने जयपुर मे आयोजित खेलो इंडिया यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स में कुश्ती मुकाबले के फाइनल में सिल्वर मेडल और यूपी स्टेट ओपन कुश्ती प्रतियोगिता में गोल्ड मेडल जीतकर विवि का मान बढ़ाया है।
गौरव की इस उपलब्धि पर कुलपति प्रो.प्रतिभा एम.लूथरा ने गौरव चौधरी के प्रदर्शन की प्रशंसा करते हुये अपने बधाई संदेश मे कहा कि प्रतिभा किसी संसाधन की मोहताज नही है। परिस्थितियां कैसी भी हों, अपने श्रम एवं तप से उपलब्धि अर्जित की जा सकती है, जिससे अन्य लोगों को भी प्रेरणा मिलती है। उन्होने युवाओं का आहवान किया कि पढाई के साथ किसी खेल को भी अपने कैरियर का हिस्सा बनाएं। यह लक्ष्य प्राप्ति की कई कठिनाईयों मे बेहतर तालमेल स्थापित करने मे मददगार सिद्व होता है। कुलपति ने कहा कि विवि पहुंचने पर गौरव चौधरी को सम्मानित किया जाएगा। विश्वविद्यालय के कुलसचिव एवं क्रीडा परिषद के सचिव प्रो.विपुल शर्मा ने कहा कि गुरुकुल के छात्रों मे प्रतिभा की कोई कमी नही है, बेहतर सुविधा एवं पर्याप्त संसाधन खिलाड़ियों एवं छात्रों का उपलब्ध कराने के लिए विश्वविद्यालय पूरा प्रयास करेगा। क्रीडा परिषद के संयोजक डा. शिवकुमार चौहान ने बताया कि गौरव चौधरी ने 87 किग्रा भार वर्ग मे ग्रीको रोमन स्टाईल कुश्ती के फाईनल मे सिल्वर मेडल हासिल किया है। उनके प्रतिद्वंदी गुरू काशी विश्वविद्यालय पंजाब के युद्ववीर सिंह ने 2-1 के अन्तर से गोल्ड मेंडल प्राप्त किया है। टीम कोच सुनील कुमार ने भी गौरव चौधरी के बेहतर प्रदर्शन की सराहना की है। गौरव चौधरी को डा.शिवकुमार चौहान, डा.कपिल मिश्रा, शिक्षकेत्तर कर्मचारी यूनियन के अध्यक्ष रजनीश भारद्वाज, महामंत्री नरेन्द्र मलिक, डा.अनुज कुमार सहित क्रीडा परिषद के सदस्यों ने भी गौरव चौधरी को बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएं दी। इसके अलावा हॉकी मे गुरुकुल विवि की टीम अपना पहला मुकाबला जीतने के बाद महात्मा गांधी काशी विश्वविद्यालय बनारस के साथ दूसरा मैच खेलेगी।
